Life after MCVB has been bitter sweet. I can't say I'm going to miss early morning workouts, running sprints, or lifting...but there are sooo many more things I will miss come next year. I've had great, irreplaceable memories over these past 4 years. Some of my favorite MCVB moments include: going to dinner with the team every night after practice, decorating the not so beautiful rooster tree at Love Lights, dressing up as a sumo wrestler and "getting physical" at volleyball olympics, eating Chipotle on our way home from games, opening the season with our home River City Tournament, winning every tournament we went to my freshman year, getting the chance to hit my sophomore year, infamous bus rides with Mr. Lee, the team trip to see Saw 5 in Washington D.C., beating Muskingum in an exciting 5 game match on dig for the cure night, and eating the delicious food parents bring to tournaments!
Most importantly, one of my favorite things has been being a part of one big MCVB family. This includes all past and present players, coaches, fans, and parents. Whether it was bringing us food, traveling miles to watch us play, cheering for us during big games, or being our shoulder to lean on when we didn't play so well-our parent support has always been amazing! I have absolutely loved my time being a part of MCVB. With so many young, talented girls and with many of them having game experience already, I think the program is headed in a great direction...watch out ONU! I'll be excited to come back to watch and follow future teams!
As for me, although I am sad that volleyball is over, I am excited for the future (whatever the heck that holds for me!) Currently, I am student teaching at Waterford High School and have Algebra I, Algebra II, and Calculus (yikes!) classes. And I am counting down the days until
graduation....wooooohhhhhh!!!!!! Life is good :)
